Colin Goodall

Colin joined British Petroleum in 1975, later becoming its first ever Chief of Staff. From 1995 to 1999 he served as Chief Financial Officer of BP Europe and then as BP’s senior representative in Russia. Prior to this he worked in Africa for a number of companies including Anglo American Corporation and became a partner at Touche Ross. During his 24 year career at BP he has been involved in outsourcing a raft of functions and business processes from IT and facilities management to payroll and finance & accounting. He is an outsourcing pioneer and a recognised BPO expert.

Rick is currently Chief Executive Officer of AIG's Consumer Finance business.

Rick has over 21 years international experience (16 years with GE and GE Capital) in operations, IT and business development. Rick spent a number of years in India for GE where he set up a consumer finance JV, managed a raft of offshore IT projects and pioneered GE Capital’s captive services business which provided various call centre and back office services to GE worldwide. Rick identified and then managed the migration of these processes from the US into India. He has also served as head of IT & operations in Asia-Pacific for GE’s auto finance business and spent 3 years with ING as head of consumer and commercial banking in Asia-Pacific where he re-engineered captive operations and initiated ING’s move into offshore outsourcing.

Amit has 12 years experience in the financial services, research and consultancy business in the UK, Europe, India and SE Asia. He spent 6 years with Citigroup and Cargill Inc in internal audit, operations and research roles. He has conducted research and consultancy assignments globally; interacting with senior management from over 150 companies from a raft of industries. The author of numerous reports and articles on outsourcing offshore, he has an intimate knowledge of India’s BPO and IT sector. Howard Spode

Howard Spode

Howard is an occupational psychologist by academic background and spent his early career in management development, organisation development and change management. He entered the BPO field in the mid-nineties as a founder member of the BPO business of PwC (now IBM). Initially, he focused on managing the complex change that BPO generates, but, over the years, he gained hands-on experience at every stage of the BPO life-cycle – business planning, marketing, sales, solution design, transition, operations and transformation. He has played key roles in ground-breaking BPO deals around the globe. For example, he was instrumental in establishing and operating the world’s first multi-country outsourced shared services centre in the late 90’s. He later became a founder member of the BPO business of Ernst & Young (now Capgemini) and personally led the establishment of the HRO business of RebusHR (now Northgate). For the last few years, he has been a client-side outsourcing advisor, helping major organisations develop sourcing strategy, evaluate BPO propositions and choose BPO suppliers. He was voted “Professional of the Year” by the UK’s National Outsourcing Association in 2006/2007 and until recently he was Managing Director, Advisory Services at NelsonHall, a leading BPO analyst firm.

Brian Maloy

Brian has over 25 years business experience (16 years with GE and GE Capital). Brian was Chief Financial Officer of GE Capital in India where he helped create the legal and operating framework and co-developed the offshore captive services business where he helped plan the migration of various finance and accounting functions into India. A highly experienced financial manager with hands on acquisition, integration, migration and project management experience across multiple countries, Brian has centralised finance functions and created multilingual service centres. As CFO of one of GE’s European business divisions he managed the integration of 13 companies across five countries. He has also been a leader of process improvement teams for customer service, logistics and order entry administration for GE Medical Systems in Europe

Benjamin worked in Corporate Development and General Management roles for Microsoft and the Swire Group, where he began working in China in 1991. He was the first non-Chinese representative for the Swire Group in China in the Group’s 139 year history there. Benjamin was educated at Oxford University (BA Hons, Chinese; MA Oxon.) and INSEAD (MBA). Benjamin regularly speaks at conferences on China and Global Procurement, including a number of conferences on IT / Business Process Outsourcing.

Oliver is based in Shanghai. His geographic focus has been on Asia and particularly on Greater China. Oliver worked for 8 years at Deutsche Bank in London and Hong Kong, where he was Senior Vice President and directed the bank's origination activities for the transportation industry sector in Asia. Within investment banking Oliver's product knowledge spans M&A, equity and debt capital markets, private equity, and project finance. Oliver graduated from the London School of Economics with a B(Sc) and M(Sc) in Economics.

Frank Beechinor-Collins (UK)

Frank is Managing Director of OneClickHR Plc a leading international provider of HR solutions. OneClickHR pioneered the move by British SME’s into offshore customer contact services by setting up a technical support centre in India which now employs over 100 people. Prior to co-founding the company in 1996 Frank worked as a marketing and sales strategy adviser for Paladin Solutions and in marketing for Grand Metropolitan plc. Frank has a BSc from University College, Cork and an MBA from Henley Management College

Martin Gilbert (UK)

Martin is an experienced consultant from a large consultancy background, with a successful track record in developing and delivering assignments. HIs key capabilities include: Offshore and sourcing strategy development, change programme mobilisation & delivery, supplier selection and management, programme and project management of large complex projects. Cost reduction portfolio assessments, including re-engineering. He has extensive experience of sourcing/outsourcing within a CRM, Call Centre, e-Commerce and mobile development environment together with extensive experience in the financial services sector (retail banking, life and pensions, general insurance and factoring).

Gilbert Santa Maria (USA)

Gil has 15 years business experience in general management, private equity and management consulting roles. He is a former general manager for a Pepsi business unit in Asia and a consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton in NY where he led engagements for clients such as P&G, J&J, BOC and BHP, in areas such as operations strategy for global deployment of manufacturing, distribution, market entry, outsourcing and acquisitions work plus large-scale process re-design. Gil is a native of the Philippines and a graduate of Yale School of Management.

Tyler Schwab (CHINA)

Tyler spent a number of years with Swiss multinational Franke helping it set up operations in China. He then moved to Shanghai as Head of Marketing and Sales for an international trading company. Tyler specialises in sourcing products and services from China and developing new markets for them in the US and Europe. A graduate of Hong Kong University and an MIM from AGSIM (Thunderbird) USA, he is fluent in Mandarin and well-travelled throughout Asia.
